The makers of weight loss drugs Wegovy and Ozempic, pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk, is to cut back its workforce at its Irish operations.

The makers of weight loss drugs Wegovy and Ozempic, pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk, is to cut back its workforce at its Irish operations.

The Danish firm is reducing its workforce across its global operations, with more than 9,000 redundancies planned, and staff numbers will be cut at the company's production site at Monksland Industrial Estate in Athlone.
