Kielty returns for his third season as host of the RTÉ flagship entertainment programme on Friday night.

Now, new accounts filed by Kielty’s Boxed Productions Ltd show that accumulated profits increased by £137,339 from £1.37m to £1.51m (€1.74m) in the 12 months to the end of March this year.

The post tax profit of £137,339 for this year followed much more modest post tax profits of £4,223 in the 12 months to the end of March 2024.

Prior to taking up the Late Late Show slot in September 2023, the company recorded post tax profits of £234,649 in the 12 months to the end of March 2023.

The new accounts show that the value of the company’s current assets — made up of cash funds and money owed to the firm by debtors — increased from £1.5m to £1.66m.

The accounts lodged with the Companies House in the UK were signed off by Patrick Kielty on September 3.

Numbers employed by the company this year reduced from three to two.

As a small company, the firm is not required to disclose revenues, salaries or any dividends paid out.

The performance of Boxed Productions Ltd has been boosted by the performance of its Irish based subsidiary, Pamanco Ireland Ltd which was set up after Kielty secured the role of host of RTÉ’s Late Late Show in May 2023.

In June 2023, Kielty confirmed that his three year contract involved RTÉ paying him €250,000 for each of the three 30-episode series.

Kielty was to also receive a one-off payment of €20,000 to cover pre-production and rehearsals before his September 2023 debut while he waived flight and accommodation expenses.
