Dublin on shortlist for upcoming Rotary International conventions worth €40m to city
Dublin is on the four-city shortlist to host a five-day Rotary International convention, which would bring up to 20,000 visitors to the city and would be worth €40m to the capital, said Rotary Ireland district governor Seamus Parle.
Dublin is on the four-city shortlist to host a five-day Rotary International convention, which would bring up to 20,000 visitors to the city and would be worth €40m to the capital.
The decision to provisionally nominate two cities to host the convention in 2029 and 2031 will be made in January by Rotary International’s board of directors. Dublin’s rivals for the convention, which attracts visitors from up to 200 countries, include Barcelona, Cairo and New Delhi.
