In 2024, the WRC completed 5,126 workplace inspection visits during the year, a 9% increase year-on-year, finding 2,108 employers in breach of employment law obligations.

Inspections on employers by the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) during last year resulted in more than €2m being returned to employees in unpaid wages, the organisation's latest annual report shows.

In 2024, the WRC completed 5,126 workplace inspection visits during the year, a 9% increase year-on-year, finding 2,108 employers in breach of employment law obligations. This resulted in €2.16m being recovered for employees in unpaid wages.
