Commercial vacancy rate hits another record high 

Sligo recorded the highest commercial vacancy rate at 20.6%. 

The national vacancy rate for commercial buildings hit a record high of 14.5% during the last three months of  2024 continuing a trend seen in recent years, a new report has found.

The latest GeoDirectory Commercial Buildings Report, prepared by consulting firm EY, shows that this is the highest level of commercial vacancy recorded by the company since it began tracking it in 2013.
