AIB raises €500m through issuance of seventh green bond

The bank said that €5.1bn of new green lending in 2024 represented 35% of its €14.5bn new lending

AIB has raised €500m by issuing its seventh green bond, with the proceeds contributing to the financing of projects with clear environmental and climate action benefits while also further strengthening its capital position.

AIB said its green lending book has been growing for several and has been supporting the transition to a greener future, Some €16.6bn of its €30bn Climate Action Fund has been deployed since 2019.
