The owner of The Castle Inn in Cork city, Michael O'Donovan, has formally taken over as new president of the Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI). 

Mr O'Donovan takes over from John Clendennen, who was elected as a Fine Gael TD in the Offaly constituency in last November's general election.
