Trade kitchen supplier Howdens extends Irish offering with new depots in Tralee and Blackpool

Howdens has opened the doors to two new depots located in Blackpool (pictured) and Tralee, as the company expands its Irish footprint, with a total of 13 depots now operating in the Republic.

Trade kitchen supplier Howdens has opened two new depots, in Blackpool in Cork city and in Tralee, as the company expands its Irish footprint.

Howdens now has 13 depots now operating in the Republic, with plans to open another three more in 2025. Howdens also has 25 depots in Northern Ireland.

The two new openings have created 12 new jobs in the local regions. “We are committed to supporting local tradespeople by expanding our bricks and mortar locations and have ambitions to open three more depots before the end of this calendar year,” said Howdens’ Republic of Ireland regional director Brian Buchan.

Howdens products are only available through the trade, though homeowners can book a free design appointment online, and the depot can then source a tradesperson if needed.

Howdens in Blackpool and Tralee will carry more than 100 kitchen and fitted bedroom collections, the company said.

Earlier this week, Howdens reported pre-tax profits of £328.1m (€397m) on revenue of £2.3bn (€2.7bn) for 2024. The company said its revenue from international markets whihch include Ireland was up 7% at £74.7m (€90m).
