AI infrastructure provider Crusoe has announced that it will create approximately 100 jobs in Ireland over the next three years following its decision to locate its European headquarters in Dublin.
The company specialises in building data centres optimised for AI. It said it is hiring for multiple roles in Dublin across its networking, site reliability engineering, customer success, and support departments.
Chief executive of Crusoe, Chase Lochmiller, said establishing its European headquarters in Dublin marks “another milestone” in the company’s global strategy. Crusoe’s move into Ireland is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
Chief executive of IDA Ireland Michael Lohan said: “AI will be a key focus on our upcoming new strategy in IDA Ireland.”
Enterprise Minister Peter Burke said the announcement by Crusoe is “very welcome” and it is a “testament to the skilled technology workforce and thriving AI innovation ecosystem here”.
Crusoe was founded in 2018 in Denver, Colorado, and was originally focused on mining cryptocurrency. In the last few years it has pivoted to building data centres focused around AI.
In December 2023, the company announced that its first European data centre will be located in Iceland.
