The introduction of the EU's Digital Operational Resilience Act (Dora) has prompted a surge in demand for risk specialists particularly in the tech and finance sector. 

Professional job openings declined by nearly 15% during the last few months of 2024 as global economic uncertainties prompt a cautious approach to hiring by companies in Ireland, particularly the multinationals, a report by recruitment agency Morgan McKinley has found. 

While the number of openings declined, the number of professional job seekers rose by 6.8% through the end of 2024 as competition increases for few positions.
