According to figures from Deloitte, there were 875 corporate insolvencies recorded during 2024 — a 32% increase compared to 2023 and the highest since 2016, when 1,032 was recorded. 

The number of corporate insolvencies in Ireland is expected to surpass 1,000 during 2025 if trends seen over the last few years persist, a new analysis by consulting and audit company Deloitte has found.

According to figures from the company, there were 875 corporate insolvencies recorded during 2024 — a 32% increase compared to 2023 and the highest since 2016, when 1,032 was recorded. Figures from PwC earlier this week put that number at 852.
