Renewable sources provided a significant portion of all electricity used last month.

A report from the national grid operator EirGrid showed the majority of renewable electricity generated last month came from windfarms, accounting for over 40% of all electricity used in Ireland. Wind energy amounted to 1,287GWh over the month.
