Deaths notice website RIP.ie confirmed it is introducing a €100 fee for funeral directors to post a death notice on the platform from January.

The website is one of Ireland's most popular with 3.3m visitors last month. It was acquired by the Irish Times Group, which includes the Irish Examiner, earlier this year as part of the expansion of its digital services.
