n its latest assessment of the banks, S&P said both banks could see their ratings improve further if they continue to deliver on their growth strategies while maintaining sound risk management.

Ratings company S&P Global has revised up the outlook of the two biggest banks in Ireland — Bank of Ireland and AIB — from stable to positive on the back of better risk-adjusted profitability.

In its latest assessment of the banks, S&P said that both banks could see their ratings improve further if they continue to deliver on their growth strategies while maintaining sound risk management.
