Businesses can lead on climate action, says industry expert

Industry action needed: The world’s carbon intensity decreased by just 1.02% in 2023, the smallest drop since 2011, according to new analysis from PwC.

Businesses can take the lead in reducing Ireland’s carbon footprint by using energy-efficient technologies and adopting circular business models, advises David McGee, ESG Leader, PwC Ireland.

He says that businesses can improve their manufacturing processes, reducing energy intensity and more effectively managing demand offers an opportunity for business and government to accelerate action.
