DHL is on track to meet its 2024 operating profit forecast, its chief financial officer Melanie Kreis said, after the logistics giant announced an overhaul that would make its German parcel business a standalone entity.

Shares were up 1.9% in early trading after news on Monday evening of DHL's new strategy, which announced a carve-out of its parcel business but pushed back against suggestions that the letter mailing business would be divested.
