Value of development land sales rebound to €411m in first half of year
The report by Shery Fitzgerald said the total turnover value was bolstered by the sale of the former Jury’s Hotel site at Lansdowne Place to the US Embassy for €152m.
The value of transactions in the development land market increased by over 180% between January and June compared to the same period last year, with residential land sites accounting for the majority of sales, a new report by estate agent Sherry Fitzgerald shows.
In the first six months of this year, 43 land transactions were closed of which residential sites accounted for 68% while sites with commercial or industrial potential represented a further 16% of transactions.
