The report by Shery Fitzgerald said the total  turnover value was bolstered by the sale of the former Jury’s Hotel site at Lansdowne Place to the US Embassy for €152m.

The value of transactions in the development land market increased by over 180% between January and June compared to the same period last year, with residential land sites accounting for the majority of sales, a new report by estate agent Sherry Fitzgerald shows.

In the first six months of this year, 43 land transactions were closed of which residential sites accounted for 68% while sites with commercial or industrial potential represented a further 16% of transactions.
