Ifac continues expansion with acquisition of Dublin-based MCC 

MCC Accountants will now operate under the Ifac name, effective immediately.

Professional services firm Ifac has acquired Dublin-based MCC Accountants for an undisclosed sum.

MCC provide compliance, business advisory and Corporate Finance services to SMEs with a specific focus on the pharmacy and retail sectors. 

Ifac specialises in the farming, food and agribusiness sectors and said the deal will enhance their range of services to include corporate recovery, forensic accounting and corporate finance. The firm will now operate under the Ifac name, effective immediately.

The move adds to the growing level of consolidation across the accountancy and insurance sectors seen in Ireland in recent years. Following the acquisition Ifac's presence in Ireland grows to a 30-office footprint and a team of 500 professionals.

CEO of Ifac, John Donoghue, said the acquisition is part of their growth strategy to deepen expertise and services.
