Traffic through Shannon Airport increases 8% 

Numbers boosted by new daily service to US and increasing frequency of flights to European destinations

Shannon Airport is targeting two million passengers by the end of the year. 

Close to one million people travelled through Shannon Airport during the first six months of the year, boosted by new daily service to the US as well as an increasing number of flights to European and UK destinations.

According to the airport, overall passenger numbers increased by 8% compared to the same period last year, to 974,012.
