The report noted a strong role amongst domestic firms in recent M&A activity, with 46 transactions in the first three months of 2024 coming from Irish companies

Falling inflation has helped merger and acquisition (M&A) activity remain resilient in the first three months of 2024 with continued consolidations across Ireland's professional services sector. 

New data from private equity firm Renatus reported 85 transactions in the first three months of this year which is in line with yearly M&A activity, but is down from 114 deals recorded in the final quarter of 2023.
