Kingspan accused of providing 'misleading' information to EU over proposed acquisition

The EU Commission has accused Kingspan of providing “incorrect, incomplete, and misleading information” during an investigation into the insulation manufacturer's proposed acquisition of Slovenian firm Trimo.

Kingpsan sought approval from the commission in March 2021 to acquire Trimo, which specialises in fireproof roof and metal facades. However, within a year of the announcement, the deal was abandoned.
