Actor Gabriel Byrne receives TK Whitaker Award for 'outstanding contribution' to the arts

Irish actor and director Gabriel Byrne has been named as this year’s recipient of the TK Whitaker Award at this year's Business & Finance Awards for his “outstanding contribution and impact across the arts”.

The award was first established in 2016 and goes to those who have demonstrated significant contributions to public service. Past recipients include former taoiseach Enda Kenny, former President of Ireland, Mary McAleese as well as President Michael D. Higgins.
