Long-standing Cork print management firm, National Business Machines (NBM) Group has announced a further expansion of its operations, acquiring Monaghan-based company, Total Office Solutions, North East for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 1985 by the firm's managing director, Michael Galvin, NBM has an extensive presence across Munster, with offices in Waterford and Limerick in addition to its Cork headquarters in Ballycureen.
The company is the largest partner of Xerox products and services in Ireland and has reiterated plans for further growth, detailing plans to double its workforce as well as invest more than €10m into developing workplace and IT capabilities in the next five years.
Its latest acquisition of TOS NE comes just one year after its expansion into Northern Ireland following its £1.8m (€2.07m) investment into the launch of the NBM subsidiary company, Innovative Workplace Solutions (IWS).
Based on Monaghan's Market Street, TOS NE has been in operation for more than 20 years and is a local provider of workplace solutions across Ireland's Northeast.
Speaking on the acquisition, NBM said customers would benefit from the deal, allowing them to avail of the TOS' digital infrastructure, workplace supplies and technology.
"Growing and expanding our offering to help customers create smarter workplaces with the acquisition of TOS NE is a big moment for us," said managing director and company founder, Michael Galvin.
"Since we started back in 1985 it has been our ambition to provide the best IT and workplace technology solutions in Ireland. The addition of TOS NE, and our extended footprint, means that we can expand our customer offerings even further across Ireland.”
Founder of TOS NE and the firm's managing director, Niall Watters called the acquisition an "exciting chapter" for the company, adding that becoming part of the NBM Group "will see even greater expert support for new and existing customers and I am excited for the future.”
