Chief executive of private landlord Ires to step down after six years

Margaret Sweeny, chief executive of IRES Reit, is due to step down in April next year, 

Chief executive of one of the country’s largest private landlords Irish Residential Properties REIT (Ires) Margaret Sweeney has announced her decision to retire from the company. 

The announcement comes as the company issues a trading update, in which it said occupancy rates ticked up to 99.6% as of the end of September from 99.5% in June reflective of the strong demand and short supply of rental accommodation.
