Delayed system update sees operating profit fall for Bulmers owner C&C
The drinks group reported robust performances in its Ireland and Scotland markets, with Bulmers and Tennent’s revenue rising 9.1%. Claire Nash
Bulmers and Tennent's owner, C&C reported an increase in branded revenue of almost 7%, with net revenue to be broadly in line with the first half of this year.
However, the group saw a 43% drop in profits in the six months ending on the 31st of August - the first half of its fiscal year - with the fall largely due to the disruption in C&C's new system implementation, postponing price hikes and adding further costs to the business.
