Shannon found to be Ireland’s best recovered airport following surge in passenger numbers

Shannon Airport was also found to have made history in several months so far this year due to strong growth by Ryanair and United Airlines

“As the world increasingly returns to normal from the devastating pandemic, it is great to see Shannon Airport leading the way in Ireland," Air Service One commented following the results.

A new report has found Shannon Airport to be Ireland's best recovered airport with the first nine months of this year showing a 14% increase on 2019 passenger numbers. 

The analysis by global aviation publication, Air Service One also showed that Shannon posted a 5% increase in 2018 passenger numbers, exceeding its previous peak.
