In total, there have been 16 PE transactions completed this year, half of which from Irish firms, with the remaining half coming from international buyers.

The volume of Irish merger and activity deals has fallen by 5% so far this year, largely impacted by a significant drop in private equity transactions.

New research by Renatus shows that despite a recent quarterly increase in deal volumes, the first nine months of 2023 saw a slowdown in activity, dropping from 333 to 316 compared to the same period last year.
