TUI confirms strong outlook despite weather related travel disruption
The company reported a 5% increase in summer bookings this year and a 15% increase in foward winter bookings.
Tour group TUI has confirmed strong bookings for the winter period despite extreme weather from flooding to heatwaves disrupting holidays and flights as it publishes its full-year outlook.
On Tuesday morning, the company confirmed summer bookings were up 5% to 13.7 million - compared to last year - with forward winter bookings up 15%. TUI shares were up almost 4% as the market opened.
