Microsoft’s Irish subsidiary posted €266bn profit in single year

Microsoft Round Island One is ‘tax resident’ in Bermuda with no employees except directors

Tax transparency campaigners described the “tax aggression displayed by Microsoft, and facilitated by Ireland” as “beyond belief”.

An Irish subsidiary of Microsoft recorded a profit of $315bn (€266bn) last year.

The profit generated by Microsoft Round Island One is equal to nearly three-quarters of Ireland’s gross domestic product – even though the company has no employees.
