In 2019, the Norwegian Air airline group had employed over 10,000 staff and had operated 20 bases in 11 countries.

An Irish registered company within the Norwegian Air airline group has been wound up by the High Court.

An examiner was appointed to the airline, which owes its creditors some $5bn (€4.1bn), and several of its subsidiaries last month.
