Dr Tim Barry has joined the expanding cardiac service at Mater Private Cork. An internationally trained consultant cardiologist and fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he joins the newly opened Mater Private Cork Heart Centre following a distinguished tenure at the Mayo Clinic. Originally from Cork, Dr Barry completed his medical training in Dublin before relocating to the US. There, he undertook residency and fellowships in cardi010U and advanced echocardiography at leading institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania and the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Barry has a particular interest in cardiac imaging and echocardiography, including 3D and strain imaging, intra-procedural echo, and cardiac CT.
