Aer Arann increase Cork-Dublin flights
Aer Arann's Cork-Dublin route today sees frequency increase from seven to nine flights per day for its winter schedule.
The regional airline announced earlier this year that it would fill the void left by the decision of Aer Lingus to cease its service.
Commenting on the announcement, Jennifer Mooney, Commercial Manager, Aer Arann, said: ''Aer Arann is exceptionally well positioned to provide this enhanced service in the Cork area with the high quality and efficient service to which our passengers have become accustomed.
"The increased frequency on this route for Winter 2003 is further testament to our longterm commitment to business and leisure passengers in the Cork region and we look forward to continued route expansion from Cork in the future," she added.
The airline recently based 21 staff at Cork including a Station Manager, 14 pilots and eight cabin-crew.
They will service the 24 daily flights across five routes - Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton and Dublin - currently operating out of Cork.
