COLIN FARRELL saw profits at his Dublin-based firm increase last year but the accounts show the Hollywood actor provided aloan of €368,000 to the company.

Pre-tax profits increased from €100,736 to €126,258. The accounts also show retained losses of €193,000 in the year.

Turnover was €294,000 while administrative expenses totalled €167,000.

The company was set up by Farrell in 2000 to handle some of his commercial contracts.

During the year, the company provided services worth €294,000 to a US company called Irishtown Productions, also controlled by the Irish actor.

Farrell and his sister Claudine are directors and shareholders in the company. His brother Eamon was replaced by Claudine as a director in November 2008. The firm’s registered address is Farrell’s home in Irishtown, Dublin 4.

The principal activity of the company is to act as a manager for actors, promoting their services and work in films. The directors did not recommend payment of a final dividend.

The company employed two people in the year at a cost of €115,801.

Farrell’s firm had assets of €319,153, but owed creditors some €387,403.

Colin Farrell has a son, Henry, with his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda-Curus and a six-year-old, Jimmy.

He and Bachleda-Curus met in Castletownbere, Co Cork, two years ago as co-stars during the filming of Neil Jordan’s Ondine.
