Tipp board confirms Doyle as new hurling boss

Michael Doyle has been confirmed as the successor to Nicky English as manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team.

Doyle was ratified tonight at a special meeting of the county board held in Thurles.

His two selectors will be former Tipp player Liam Sheedy, who managed the intermediate team to the All-Ireland final this year, and Kevin Fox, brother of former Allstar Pat Fox.

The triumvirate have been put in situ just before the county senior hurling final replay on Sunday where the cream of the county's talent will be on display,

They were unanimously elected by the board delegates.
