Provincial finalists kept apart in All-Ireland hurling semi-finals

The counties which faced each other in the Munster and Leinster hurling deciders will be kept apart in the All-Ireland semi-finals.

The GAA yesterday announced All-Ireland champions Galway will play their All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday, July 28 (Croke Park, 5pm). Should Kilkenny and Wexford, for example, win their respective quarter-finals this weekend, then the Tribesmen will play Wexford as provincial final pairings cannot be repeated in the penultimate round.
