Eamon Zayed scored twice as champions Drogheda eased to their biggest win of the season at St Colman's Park.
Drogheda had the dream start of the lead goal after just four minutes.
A poor clearance from John Meade fell invitingly for Ollie Cahill and the winger drilled home from the edge of the area.
Drogheda extended their lead on 24 minutes when right-back Brian Shelley put Zayed free down the right to cross to give Ibrahima Iyane-Thiam a simple tap-in for his first league goal for the club.
It all got much worse for Cobh on 51 minutes when Zayed scored his first of the night when finishing off Sami Ristila's through ball.
Cobh had defender Kevin Murray sent off for arguing with referee Hugo Whoriskey following the goal.
Six minutes later Zayed scored again to seal Drogheda's win when firing home from Adam Hughes' pass.
