Oireachtas Committee to consider petition on unification with Northern Ireland and Scotland

An Oireachtas Committee is to consider a petition on unification with Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The proposal is one of a number of items down to be heard by the Public Petitions Committee.

Also on the agenda of tomorrow's meeting is a petition on passport control and one that would amend driving test rules.

Petitions submitted to the committee must be "on a matter of general public concern or interest in relation to the legislative powers of the Houses of the Oireachtas or be an issue of public policy".
