Gardaí make arrest after sniffer dogs find drugs and ammunition in Wexford field

Gardaí have found cannabis and ammunition buried in a field in Co Wexford.

Officers arrested a man at the scene after deploying sniffer dogs in the Ballycarney area late last night.

They seized the cannabis, which has an estimated street value of €5,000, and a car parked near the field.

The man, who is in his late 30s, was taken to Enniscorthy garda station and remains in custody.

Investigations are ongoing.
