Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams has revealed the R'n'B trio - consisting of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and herself - were in awe of the Spice Girls for years.

Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams has revealed the R'n'B trio - consisting of Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and herself - were in awe of the Spice Girls for years.

Williams poured praised on Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Geri Haliwell - known as Scary, Sporty, Baby, Posh and Ginger spice - insisting they paved the way for other all-female groups to reach number 1.

She told Britain's London Lite newspaper: "The Spice Girls were such great role models for Destiny's Child. We loved that they were a strong, female group that became a megastar brand."

Williams also let slip her secret crush on Victoria's soccer-playing husband David, who plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy football team.

She said: "David is so handsome and has a great sense of style".
