Rome (dpa) - The Italian actress Lucia Bose, one of the first divas of Italian post-war cinema, died on Monday at the age of 89. This was announced by her family. Dear friends... ...I am informing you that my mother Lucia Bose has passed away. She is now in the best place," her son Miguel, a pop star known in Spain and Italy, wrote on Twitter.

Bose worked with great Italian directors. She starred in Michelangelo Antonioni's "Chronicle of a Love" of 1950 and in Federico Fellini's "Satyricon" of 1969.
