The case at Cork District Court was adjourned until January 28.

A book of evidence is to be prepared in the case against a man who is accused of punching a woman repeatedly into the face at her home in Cork.

Paul Harty, ageed 44, of Bay 11, Shandon Rd halting site, Dungarvan, Co Waterford, appeared at Cork District Court by video link from prison. His solicitor Eddie Burke said in court: “A book of evidence will be required.”
