Huawei tipped to release Nexus this autumn

It’s been rumoured for some time that Huawei is working on a Nexus. A new report indicates that the handset will be released this autumn.

Huawei tipped to release Nexus this autumn

According to The Information, Huawei will launch its Nexus device later this year. Its release will apparently coincide with when Google Play Store apps will be available to download in China.

This could in turn make Huawei’s Nexus the first device to have the Google Play Store pre-loaded in China.

The report goes on to suggest that in return for Huawei developing the Nexus, Google will help market the Huawei Watch in the West.

Huawei may not be the only smartphone manufacturer working with Google on a Nexus device. It’s believed that LG will release a 5.2-inch handset as an alternative to Huawei’s 5.7-inch model.
