Fallout 4 mods will be on PS4 if Sony agrees
Fallout 4’s creative director, Todd Howard, was asked if Bethesda plans to roll out mods to Playstation 4. He said that the team plans to, but it’s dependent on Sony.
Howard told Digital Spy, “We will be. Well, we're going to make every effort to. If Sony says no, we won't, but I don't think they will. But, you know, it will come out on PC first. So early 2016, the creation mod for the PC, and then we're going to make that work on the Xbox One, and then we're going to do the PS4 version."
Microsoft made quite the splash at E3 last week by announcing that Fallout 4 mods would be released on Xbox One. Up to now, mods have been the stuff of PC gaming.
Sony’s legion of Fallout fans will be hoping that approval is given. Mods can alter a game’s appearance, provide access to a wealth of new content, or even change the way a game is played completely.
