Black Ops 3 reviews are in
It's the latest in the long running shooter series and comes a year after Advanced Warfare which was had a slightly disappointing release, somewhat lower than Ghosts the previous year. The review for Black Ops 3 are starting to come out - see what people are saying below:
The overall review score on Metacritic is currently at 85, that's a pretty good showing though early reviews from major outlets can sometimes be skewed in a positive manner, for all kinds of reasons.
"Treyarch had some extra time to create Call of Duty Black Ops 3, and it is definitely noticeable within the game. All modes are worthy of playing and there is so much content to discover besides that. People will love playing Black Ops 3 for a long time to come."
"I'm just going to get right into it -- this is the weakest campaign yet from Treyarch."
"In its undead modes, and the first 10 hours of multiplayer, it excels. But in its campaign, it merely crawls forward. Black Ops III doesn't offer anything remarkable to the series, but does just enough to maintain the Call of Duty status quo. The franchise, however slowly, continues its inexorable march."

A bit of a mixed bag then, but these lower scores certainly aren't the norm as you can tell from the average rating. The campaign in particular seems to be coming under fire for adding nothing new to the formula, which isn't at all surprising when you consider how few players are really interested in anything but thhe multiplayer.
In terms of user scores it's quite a different story and this can often be much more revealing. The current score is just 4.9 and the comments are very negative. That said, it's hard to know how much time these players have had with the game as it has only just released.
