‘I still hear their screams’

A publican who chased down a man accused of sexually assaulting two young girls attending a birthday party said he still can still hear their screams.

Earlier, the 49-year-old man who asked not to be named, said he joined the search for the girls when they went missing from the party, and held the suspect down until gardaí arrived.

“What had me was the screams,” he said. “I can hear them ever since in my head. They were bad.”
