224 dead following Russian plane crash

DNA samples will be taken from relatives of deceased to identify remains.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said he is "deeply shaken" by the crash.
The black box has been recovered and It is reported the pilot asked for an emergency landing at El Arish airport.

The dead bodies of children have been discovered still strapped to their seats and Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared Sunday a national day of mourning.

More than 100 bodies, including five children, have been found and voices can be heard inside the wreakage.

Eygpt has dispatched 45 ambulances to the scene of the crash, where it is reported that the voices of trapped passengers can be heard from one section of the wreckage.
It is understood the plane split into two parts.

Meanwhile, relatives of those on board have begun arriving at Pulkovo airport in St Petersburg where they're being directed to a crisis centre.
Five children have been found dead at the crash site.
The Airbus A321 was operated by Russian operator Kogalymavia, registration number KGL-9268.

The aircraft was carrying 217 passengers (200 adults and 17 children) and seven crew members.

The plane took off from Sinai's Sharm el-Sheikh at 5:51 a.m. local time, bound for St. Petersburg in Russia.
It disappeared from radar screens 23 minutes after takeoff.

Egyptian search and rescue teams have located the site of the crash in the Hassana area 35 km (22 miles) south of the Sinai Mediterranean coastal city of Al Arish.

Egyptian officials have said the plane was at an altitude of 31,000 feet (9,400 metres) when it vanished from radar screens.
