An inspection is underway after a ceiling collapsed in an out-patients department at Cork University Hospital.

Out-patient clinic care is continuing at Cork University Hospital this afternoon, despite part of the roof collapsing there.

It happened at around 8.30am as out-patients were gathering for a clinic in the ophthalmic unit. Some people had to be evacuated following the incident.
