Man, 79, dies after attack by dog

A 79-year-old man has died after a dog attacked him in the garden of his home.

The pensioner was outside his home in Clubmoor, Liverpool, when the dog attacked, just before 8.40pm on Saturday.

Merseyside Police were called and armed officers destroyed the dog.
