YouTube Android app gives you a virtual cinema

Virtual Reality isn't quite here yet for everyone but various companys are making sure that the world is ready once the new technology finally arrives.

YouTube is one of those companies and they've just updated their Android app to bring some new features. The addition adds a virtual movie theatre mode which can be used with every single video on the massive streaming site.

That means when you click into the options and select cardboard while using a headset (or Google Cardboard cradle) you'll experience the video as though you were sitting in a massive cinema, with the image being displayed on a huge screen. Advanced eye tracking makes the experience seem even more real, and more technology is set to be added over time.
