Twitter makes verified notifications features available to all

Twitter is trying to fight back against trolls and its latest update will help users limit what notifications they see.
Twitter makes verified notifications features available to all

One setting allows you to only see notifications from accounts that you actually follow. That means that @'s from randomers won't show up; useful if you're sick of getting @'s from bots, but less so if you still want to see messages from genuine fans.

The second setting acts as a quality filter of sorts. It looks out for "lower-quality content" and prevents them from showing up in your notifications.

Explaining this feature, Twitter said that it looks at factors like account origin and behaviour. It also filters out duplicate and automated tweets.

Twitter has offered these features to verified accounts for some time, but is now opening them up to all. You can find them in your Settings tab.
